As much as we love to talk to our customers on a personal note, we are often busy packing orders - so if at all possible please place your orders on the website. If you do not feel comfortable at providing your credit card number through the internet - place the order as a fax order and put a note in the special instructions box during check-out. Once you have placed your order you can call during normal business hours to provide us with your credit card information.

Normal rule of thumb for blending essential oils or fragrance oils is about 20 to 30 drops per 2 ounces of dilution material such as carrier oil, lotions, soaps, etc. Keep in mind and please use common sense that some "hot or Spice" oils, such as cinnamon, black pepper, oregano, etc you really need to use much less. In a blend of other oils sometimes just a drop or 2 is more then plenty.

What are essential oils? Depending on the species of plant, essential oils are extracted from the petals, leaves, roots, buds, twigs, rhizomes, wood, bark, resin or fruit. In a few cases, every part of the plant growing above ground is used. There are several ways of obtaining the oil, the most common being steam distillation. This involves putting the plant material in a large, closed container, known as a vat, and forcing steam through it. The heat and pressure release the tiny droplets of essential oil from the plant, which then rise with the steam, out through the spiral tube. This cools the steam and turns it back into a liquid, the essential oil (being generally lighter than water, will float on the top and can be skimmed off.

What are fragrance oils? Fragrance oils are blends of natural and artificial chemicals, blended by experts in the same way as perfumes; with fragrance oils they are often used to recreate natural odors, or to produce a 'natural type' scent, which is skin safe.

What are carrier oils? A carrier oil is usually a vegetable or nut type oil which is skin safe and moisturizing. Carrier oils are things such as jojoba, sweet almond, apricot kernel oil, evening primrose, etc. These oils are often used to make massage oils, creams, lotions, soaps, perfumed body oils, and bath oils.

What are Absolute Oils? Absolutes are highly concentrated extracts derived from flowers, bark, or leaves, which is free from waxes and other by-products. And undergo at least two extraction processes.
