bullet Lemon Verbena General - Verbena also known as lemon verbena, is a handsome deciduous perennial shrub up to 5m high with a woody stem, very fragrant, delicate, pale green, lanceolate leaves arranged in threes, and small pale purple flowers. Often grown as an ornamental bush in gardens, the uses of lemon verbena are similar to those of mint, orange flowers and melissa (lemonbalm). Native to Chile and Argentina, it is now cultivated in the Mediterranean region - France, Tunisia, Algeria - as well as Kenya and China. The essential oil is from the harvested herb, and is produced mainly in southern France and North Africa.

bullet Lemon Verbena Oil Uses - Verbena essential oil has been used for cramps, indigestion, liver congestion, anxiety, insomnia, nervous tension and stress related conditions. The dried leaves are still used as a popular household tea in Europe as a refreshing, uplifting drink and to restore the liver after a hang-over. It is also popular in France, Europe, and USA in perfumery and citrus colognes.

bullet Verbena Lemon oil The sweet, fresh, lemony, fruity-floral, fragrance of verbena blends well with the following essential oils: orange blossom, neroli, palmrosa, olibanum, Tolu balsam, elemi, lemon, and other citrus oils.

Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil Safety
Never use Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils as a substitute for necessary medical care. Keep oils tightly closed and out of reach of children. Never ingest undiluted essential oils. Don't use undiluted oils on your skin. Dilute oils with vegetable oils, one to three drops per tablespoon. Keep oils away from eyes and mucous membranes. Skin test oils before using. Dilute a small amount and apply to the skin of your inner arm or back of knee. Do not use if redness or irritation occurs. If redness, burning, itching or irritation occur, stop using oil immediately. Use less rather than more.
