Caraway Essential Oil Profile General - Caraway is a biennial herb
that originated from Asia Minor but is now cultivated in Northern Europe, Africa
and Russia. It grows up to 60cm (2 feet) and has soft fern-like leaves, umbels
of white/pink flowers and small brown fruit.

Caraway Oil Uses - The Therapeutic (Therapuetic) properties of
Caraway essential oil, Carum carvi, nclude: anti-histaminic, antiseptic, astringent, carminative,
digestive, disinfectant, emmenagogue, expectorant, stimulant, stomachic, tonic
and vermifuge. As an expectorant it helps clear bronchitis, bronchial asthma and
coughs. It is also helpful in cases of sore throats and laryngitis. Caraway oil
has a sweet spicy odor with a slight peppery smell.

Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil Safety
Never use Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils as a substitute for necessary medical care. Keep oils tightly closed and out of reach of children. Never ingest undiluted essential oils. Don't use undiluted oils on your skin. Dilute oils with vegetable oils, one to three drops per tablespoon. Keep oils away from eyes and mucous membranes. Skin test oils before using. Dilute a small amount and apply to the skin of your inner arm or back of knee. Do not use if redness or irritation occurs. If redness, burning, itching or irritation occur, stop using oil immediately. Use less rather than more.
